Monique has got Covid after years of dodging it. This has been one of the most loved podcasts in the last couple of years.

As humans, complaining is a way for us to release tension and bond with others. It can also be a form of venting frustration or connecting with others who share in your feelings. But does complaining make you feel better? It's a way to let off steam, and that's fine, but does it help you feel better in the long run? In today’s episode, we will discuss a new way to connect with ours.

As you may know, stress is a constant in life. Whether it's work, family obligations, or other factors, we all experience stress from time to time. But how do friendships affect our stress levels? How does friendship affect our brains?
When we’re stressed, the last thing we want to do is be around other people. We just want to be left alone in our quiet rooms with a tub of ice cream, right? Wrong! Stress can make you feel overwhelmed, depressed, and anxious. Friendships are an important aspect of our lives that can help us cope with stress and make us feel good about ourselves. When we have a stressful event, our friends can provide comfort and support. They can also help us to cope with the everyday stress of life, or even just make us laugh when we're feeling down. Let's take a closer look at the science of friendship and stress.

Leaving your past behind can be one of the hardest things to do. Some of us constantly relive our past trying to pinpoint what we could have done differently to lessen the pain we are facing now. Many people struggle with letting go of anger, guilt, and resentment due to past experiences. So the question is, how do we let go of the past? Many don’t realize our brains don’t remember past events exactly how they occur, and what we remember about our past is our subjective view. Learning to forgive yourself and/or others can be challenging. However, when we let go of our past, we make space for greater things to make their way into our life. This episode is about how we perceive the past, but most importantly how to let the past be the past.

Rejection is probably one of the most painful feelings you could ever feel. I am sure we can all agree that it feels like a punch in the gut, but you can learn to deal with rejection and bounce back. Rebounding after facing rejection is a skill worth mastering. When facing rejection, one should focus on the lessons learned and keep moving forward. Don’t get discouraged.
Regardless of one's stature, we have all experienced rejection at some point or another and sometimes we don’t even know why. Whether it is in our place of work or in our personal lives, rejection is something we never want to experience and can be hard for us to process. In this episode, you'll find out why it's important to bounce back and how you can turn rejection into redirection.

I watched the Academy Awards. I was hoping to delight in honouring only the 3rd female director to win an Oscar. Instead, it was a lesson in toxic masculinity.

You are the creator of your reality. You have the ability to manifest what you want in life by focusing on it, just like a magnet attracts metal. It's hard to believe that everything is going to be alright when you're having a bad day. You may feel like the world is falling apart around you, and all your problems are too big for anyone else to solve. Everything will work out, you will be okay. It is important to remember, the sun will rise tomorrow, and you'll see that everything is going to be okay. You will get through this. There is a light at the end of your tunnel, and it will be alright in the end--you just have to keep moving forward. In this episode, we will discuss how changing our perspective on obstacles we encounter can determine the outcome.
